i absolutely love decorating. i always imagine in another lifetime, i would live out my dream of being an interior designer. alas, all i have at my fingertips for now are paints, paper, and a ton of frames i've collected over the years, so i've decided to live out my fantasy via blog. isn't that what all good bloggers do any way? whenever i paint a new piece, i actually kind of imagine it in a super fancy space, flocked with gorgeous furniture and amongst luscious fabrics. it's almost as if the room i imagine the painting in emerges simultaneously with the painting itself, so, here goes pulling together imaginary rooms for you to enjoy!
for my painting "peony" i picture it being the bright accent in the room. i really love silvers and grays with my pieces because i've always felt that the sharp metallic hues give the soft watercolor a harder and more sophisticated edge.
